Melbourne's Paris End Locations Just For You

Are you looking for Melbourne photoshoot location ideas that will make your engagement photos truly special?

The romantic Paris End of Melbourne. This vibrant and lively area offers a perfect backdrop for you, with a mix of historic buildings, beautiful gardens, and stunning architecture. From the Melbourne State Library to the iconic Parliament Building, there are plenty of unique locations to choose from for your romantic engagement photoshoot. Let's dive into some of the most picturesque spots in Melbourne.

Little Bourke St

Right next to the parliament, Little Bourke St has that true Melbourne feel that adds something special to a date. It's a hidden spot not many know about, but it's full of surprises.  It's perfect for couples who like to start their days earl with a morning coffee and watch the city to wake up.

Adding this unique place to your photo shoot will not only make your pictures stand out but also bring a bit of the city's cool, trendy vibe to them.

The Majestic Parliament Building

Choose your moment wisely for visiting this treasured location. Teeming with tourists and fellow photoshoot enthusiasts, weekdays, Saturday mornings, or Sunday evenings are often the best times to avoid the crowds. Embrace the romance and timelessness of this iconic setting, with its grand steps and architectural features. Even if others are there, there's no need to leave. Once, when I went there to shoot a wedding because it was the only stunning location with cover, six other wedding parties shared the space. We all fit under this large building, each with our own unique styles

The State Library

The State Library comes with its practical challenges. Given its popularity, be prepared for people queuing to take photos at the best spots and for a lack of privacy. If you consider yourselves a camera-shy couple, this location may not be the best idea—unless you’re ready to spend some money to hire private spaces.

For safety reasons, we are not allowed to use external lighting like flashes, so your photographer will have to work with the available ambient light. Nevertheless, with careful planning, an off-peak visit, and perhaps a touch of spontaneous charm, the library's crowded corridors can transform into a lively backdrop.

Windsor Hotel

For those captivated by street-style photography, imagine a stroll along Spring Street, where the Windsor Hotel stands as a beacon of elegance and historical charm. While accessing the stunning interiors may require a permit, the exterior alone provides a majestic setting for your love story. Its grand facade, with intricate details and timeless architecture, offers a sophisticated backdrop that embodies romance. As you wander hand in hand, let the Windsor Hotel's regal presence enhance your engagement photos, creating a tapestry of moments wrapped in opulence and affection.

Carlton Gardens

Head over to Carlton Gardens in Melbourne for a romantic vintage vibe photoshoot. It's a peaceful place right in the middle of the busy city. With big lawns and old-style gardens with fountains, it’s a great spot to take photos that show how special your relationship is. You can walk on the paths, see the big Royal Exhibition Building nearby, and let your love story shine with every step you take. There are lots of trees and flowers around that make each photo look really beautiful, like nature is adding its own colors to your pictures.
